Tina Mariane Krogh Madsen’s listening sessions, which are a part of  the exhibition [Being] a multiplicity, departs in Madsen’s extensive work with listening as a Deep Listening facilitator from The Center for Deep Listening. The sessions activate tools from this way of working proposed by composer Pauline Oliveros, here extended through Madsen’s artistic research in environmental affective relations as an approach to multisensory listening.

The sessions are in this way introducing an artistic method which focuses on paying attention to the environment through listening aurally and physically, to expand our sensations inward and outward. We will explore this through gentle exercises, listening meditations and questions which will take place in and around Kulturhus Björkboda. Each session ends with sharing experiences and thoughts for those who are comfortable with doing so. The sessions are open for everyone regardless of age but will be conducted mainly in English (with a possibility for explanations in Swedish upon request).
