Kulturhus Björkboda is a new community venue in Kimitoön, South-West Finland in a 110-year-old school building with a contemporary art exhibition program, arts & crafts shop, workshop facilities, co-working space, meeting room and a sports hall with a stage. Kulturhus Björkboda, or KUBU for short, is opening to the public in spring 2022 with a monthly exhibition program and events with a pop-up cafe.
Our new contemporary art gallery will showcase artists who are dedicated to their craft. We support artists and makers with exhibitions that are ready to show as well as those who want to try something new. Get in touch to find out the latest schedule openings and to discuss collaborative opportunities.

Taidekeskus INTO artists
7.5. – 31.7.2o22
Artists with special needs do need support so that making art is possible for them. Accessibility and equal opportunity are the key issues – creative activity and the ability to become an artist should be available to all. Art created by special needs artists can be called by the label “Outsider Art”.
Ask us anything! What would you do in KUBU? Do you want to learn a new skill, need a space to exercise or do you need to organise a party? Let us know. If you’d like to know what’s coming up just check the box to subscribe to our newsletter.
